Ozzfest és un festival anual de rock en general realitzat als Estats Units (i en algunes ocasions, a Europa) comptant amb la participació de bandes de heavy metal, hardcore punk i hard rock, especialment de nu metall, com Disturbed, Slipknot, Linkin Park, Mudvayne, i Soulfly, acompanyats en alguns casos per llegendàries bandes com Black Sabbath, Metallica, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden i Megadeth. Va ser precisament en el marc de l'Ozzfest on es va començar a gestar la reunió dels integrants originals de Black Sàbat (Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler i Bill Ward), fins a la seva definitiva reunió mesos después. La seva fundadora va ser Sharon Osbourne, l'esposa de l'esmentat cantant britànic Ozzy Osbourne, que s'encarreguen també de la seva organització, al costat de Jack , fill de la pareja.

 

El festival va ser creat el 1996, quan els organitzadors d'un altre festival, el Lollapalooza, li van negar la participació a Ozzy Osbourne en aquest evento. El festival va ser ben rebut, per la qual cosa es va tornar anual.

 

El 1998, Ozzfest es va aventurar fora dels Estats Units per primera vegada cap al Regne Unit, repetint el 2001 i 2002. El festival s'ha realitzat des de llavors de manera intermitent, sent organitzat per última vegada en 2018. El seu futur és incert , a causa dels constants problemes de salut d'Ozzy Osbourne.
