Naixement: 22 de desembre de 1942 a Kentford, Suffolk, Inglaterra

És un saxofonista anglès. Ha aparegut com a músic de sessió en diversos àlbums, sobretot en parts solistes en les cançons de Pink Floyd “Money”, “Us and Them”, “Shine On You Crazy Diamond” i “Wearing the Inside Out”. També va tocar en l'àlbum de Bloodstone Riddle of the Sphinx.

Parry va començar la seva carrera com a saxofonista en The Soul Committee, una banda de mitjan dècada de 1960 a Cambridge. Era amic del guitarrista de Pink Floyd David Gilmour que tocava en Jokers Wild, una altra banda de Cambridge. Contràriament a alguns informes, Parry no va tocar en Jokers Wild. Alguns anys després, Gilmour li va demanar que toqués en àlbums d'estudi de Pink Floyd, inclosos The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here i The Division Bell, així com en cada actuació en viu de Pink Floyd entre 1973 i 1977, i la gira mundial de 1994. Parry també va tocar teclats addicionals durant Shine On You Crazy Diamond Parts I, VI i IX en el In the Flesh Tour de Pink Floyd de 1977. També va realitzar gires com a part de la secció de metalls de The Who en els seus gires de 1979-1980.

Va tocar el saxofon en "Celestine" per a l'àlbum de 1997 Big Men Cry de Banco de Gaia.

Parry va aparèixer en les dates en viu de Gilmour en 2001 i 2002, una de les quals va ser llançada com David Gilmour in Concert. També va tocar en la gira On An Island de 2006 a Europa, els Estats Units i el Canadà, tocant el saxofon en "Shine On You Crazy Diamond", " Wearing the Inside Out " i " Then I Close My Eyes ". Els xous del Royal Albert Hall a Londres i del Shipyard en Gdańsk, Polònia, van ser llançats com els DVD Remember That Night i Live in Gdańsk, respectivament. Parry també va tocar l'harmònica de cristall i teclats addicionals en aquesta gira.

Va aparèixer en la reunió de Pink Floyd en Live 8, on va tocar la seva part de saxofon en "Money". En 2009, va realitzar una gira per Europa i Sud-àfrica amb Violent Femmes.
